Recap of the October 28, 2020 MCAN Meeting:
Click the video link below to view the October 28, 2020 MCAN meeting. Our meeting highlights included:
- Celebration of the second set of Pacesetter recognition awards for our 2019 work
- Review progress of our MCAN Case Statement which includes the investment in children’s services in our County, the essential keys to reaching 90% literacy, and the future investment needed to scale successful programs
- Work in breakout rooms to confirm and refine the bold idea team goals identified in May and discuss how to move forward with those priorities
We know 2020 has been a difficult year, and we are so thankful for the commitment each of you have made to be #BestbyKids. Together, we are creating the conditions for children to be literate, curious, compassionate citizens who will improve our world!
Moonshot in the Community
Moonshot in the 2020 Holiday Parade – December 5, 6:00-8:15 pmLocation: Vero Beach Airport The Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach ‘Reverse’ Christmas Parade is a first of its kind giving family and friends the opportunity to drive by decorative floats and displays and wave, hold up signs and cheer on your favorites!
TLA’s Moonshot Reading Rocket will be one of the stationary “floats,” spaced safely apart from each other. Spectators, however, will stay in their cars and drive through the marked route.
We hope you can enjoy this socially distant event to kickoff the holiday season. Be sure to “get your Moonshot on” and wave/honk at the Rocket!
